And can I just give some special love to Brina Palencia as Juvia? She constantly nails the most ridiculous lines with the exact emotions, and it's ****ing delightful. Colleen Clinkenbeard has a way of speaking as Erza that is completely genuine and honest, giving the character depth just through the tones of her voice. The voice cast is spot on as always: Todd Haberkorn is a pro's pro, and delivers on every bit of dialogue as Natsu. Chock-full of villains with crazy powers, new powers from old favorites, team ups and beat downs, it's all the things you love about Fairy Tail but with a noticeably bigger animation budget - The movie looks great, with director Tatsuma Minamikawa showing a great eye for detail and a good feel for pacing. I won't lie, this is nothing groundbreaking It's a big Fairy Tail story, and if that's what you want it delivers big time. In this particular tale the mystical Dragon Cry is our McGuffin and, of course, Fiore needs the potential world-ending weapon back. Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Wendy, and Gray are the focus of the story, along with Happy and Carla. I gotta say, as a longtime fan, this new installment of the Fairy Tail saga is a fun romp with old friends and new problems - the whole gang is here for Funimation's "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry," and they are as rowdy as ever.
